OneUpOneDown is an online near-peer mentorship platform designed by women for women. They believe that meaningful connections and great advice can be key to personal and professional growth, and they have set out on a mission to facilitate those connections and make them more accessible. The platform uses a complex machine-learning algorithm to match women to their mentors and support them on their journey.

You might be wondering how did a sports betting agency come about to partner with a women mentorship platform. Well, as surprising as it may be, we have actually been with them from the beginning. As our CTO Dzhuliana Nikolova is also the Co-founder of OUOD we have helped in the company’s development and growth even before they decided to extend their mission and offer their mentor-matching solution to women working in the iGaming, gambling and sports industries.

We developed their custom website on WordPress from scratch, focusing on good architecture and functionality and keeping the UI/UX base with the signature graphic design of the brand. We also created a web application using Python and ReactJS so women taking part in the programme could have easy access to their dashboards and resources. The most challenging part, however, has been the development of the AI algorithm responsible for the match-making process. It uses advanced technology for reasoning, detection, diagnostics, automated decision making and causal inference. Instead of analyzing hundreds of charts, it uses automated descriptive analytics to enable the automatic extraction of significant insight from data.
